Summary of Events

The shelling that targeted the Damascus suburb of Douma continued while regime forces besieged the city. Corpses of women, children and men could be found everywhere after the retreat of revolutionaries and the takeover by the Air Force intelligence forces. Regime forces executed many of the wounded in Hamdan hospital in addition to many doctors and nurses, while women and children are besieged in underground shelters with no food, water or electricity.

A new massacre took place in the city of Soran in the province of Hama, as regime forces set up a security checkpoint from which it opened heavy random fire at civilians killing ten of them.

The heavy bombardment of the city of Deir Azzour continued for the ninth day, and was renewed on the cities of the province of Homs and the towns of the province of Daraa.

Regime forces killed at least 104 today; 35 fell in the suburbs of Damascus, 16 in the province of Deir Azzour as the shelling continued in the city of Deir Azzour and renewed in the cities of Sour and Boukamal, 14 in the province of Hama as regime forces opened fire in the cities of Soran and Salmiya and shelled the towns of Sahl Ghab and Halfaya, 13 in the province of Daraa as the shelling renewed on the city of Daraa, its refugee camp, and the towns of Kherbet Ghazaleh, Bosra Sham, Naima, Ghariya Sharqiya, Soura, Sheikh Meskin, Tafas and Dael, and 11 in the province of Idlib as the army shelled the cities of Idlib, Jeser Shoghour, and Khan Sheikhoun.

The regime’s violations continued across the country as its forces shelled the cities of Talbiseh, Rastan, Homs, Qasir, and Houleh, the villages of Salamiya, Kammam, and Osh Warwar in the province of Homs, and the cities of Indan, Atareb, Ezaz and Kafar Naya in the province of Aleppo.

In the capital, regime forces opened heavy fire in the neighbourhood of Jobar while a massive explosion rocked the Military Police complex in the neighbourhood of Tishreen. Regime forces shelled the suburbs of Erbin, Harasta, and Deir Asafir, and opened fire in the suburbs of Ain Tarma, Kafarbatna, Jedeidet Artouz and Qatana. Meanwhile, an explosion went off near a funeral procession in the suburb of Zamalka killing over a dozen.
